9. Palindrome Number

Given an integer $x$, return true if $x$ is a palindrome, and false otherwise.

Example 1:

Input: x = 121
Output: true
Explanation: 121 reads as 121 from left to right and from right to left.

풀이

백준에서도 많이 풀어본 문제인데 string이 리스트 처럼 indexing 이 가능한 것을 아는지 모르는지 묻는 문제이다.

    def isPalindrome(self, x):
        return str(x) == str(x)[::-1]

정수론처럼 생각해봤을 때, 자릿수가 짝수일 때는 반드시 11의 배수여야 한다는 것을 알 수 있는데,
자릿수가 홀수일 때는 간단한 조건을 구하기 어려웠다..

누가 푼 것을 보니 모든 경우에 대해 다음과 같이 풀면 간단하게 해결이 된다!

    def isPalindrome(self, x):
        reverse = 0
        temp = x

        if x < 0:
            return False

        while temp != 0:
            remain = temp % 10
            reverse = reverse * 10 + remain
            temp /= 10

        return reverse == x
